My Story
Hello, my name is Matthew.I have always had a love for learning, and one of my greatest joys is helping young people grow in confidence and reach their full potential.I currently serve as a pastor, but before moving into full-time ministry I spent over 18 years working as a classroom teacher. During that time, I had the privilege of helping hundreds of students with Science, with a particular focus on Chemistry, in schools across England and Northern Ireland.Although I now serve in pastoral ministry, the teacher in me has never gone away. That is why I offer online Chemistry tuition for GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level students who want to strengthen their understanding, improve their exam technique, and increase their grade prospects.I know that Chemistry can feel overwhelming for many students, but with clear explanations, encouragement, and the right support, it can begin to make sense. The main service I provide is one-to-one online Chemistry tuition for GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level students.These lessons are tailored to the individual student, helping them strengthen their understanding, grow in confidence, improve exam technique, and focus on the areas where they need the most support. I mainly specialise in GCSE Chemistry, iGCSE Chemistry and A-Level Chemistry, but I am also willing to help with other areas of Science where needed, as well as other Chemistry exam boards on a one-to-one basis.Please note that my one-to-one availability is limited.Alongside one-to-one tuition, I also offer small group tuition for students studying AQA GCSE Chemistry or Edexcel iGCSE Chemistry.These small groups are designed to give students structured support throughout the week, not just during the live lesson. Each group includes:Pre-lesson homework tasks to help students prepare
Live Zoom lessons with clear teaching and guided practice
Follow-up support to go over homework and address misunderstandings
Peer support from students working towards the same goalsStudents are placed in groups with others who are studying the same exam board and working at a similar level.
